Am i too old to learn violin?

I am nineteen and have been dying to play violin since i was only a child. i ended up taking piano lessons but i really didnt like it so after several years of lessons i know notes and music. I played at the talent show in high school and got second place. I just want to know if it would be possible to take up violin successfully at nineteen considering i have music history.
